Welcome to Animals are Magic, providers of pet care services in the Biddulph, Kidsgrove, Congleton and the surrounding areas.

Established 7 years ago, I came up with the idea when I realised that I was out at work for long hours and required someone to walk my dog, but was struggling to find anyone reliable and trustworthy to do so. This set me thinking about other people in similar circumstances, who lead busy lives, whilst their pets are stuck at home all day. So in 2005 I set up Animals Are Magic to provide the dog-walking services that I (and other people in similar circumstances) so desperately needed. In addition to the dog-walking and pet sitting, I can also to provide a "home-from-home" alternative to kennels and catteries.

I focus on pet care for domestic animals, although I have some experience in looking after more exotic animals as the picture below of me and Fred the Barn owl illustrates

 

Do you struggle to manage an active dog?

Does your pet get distressed in kennels or cattery while you are away from home during the day?

We all know cats don't like to be moved, so why take them to a cattery? Have them cared for in their usual surroundings.

Birds get lonely! They can require specialist care, which I can offer.

Would you prefer to have your animals cared for in their own home where they feel comfortable and secure or even holiday in my home?

Temporary situations are catered for, such as days out, overnight visits, illness, hospital stays, funerals and special occasions like weddings, christenings, parties etc.

Along with my team of Lesley, we offer the following services on a regular, temporary or one off basis:

Dog walking
Dog sitting in their own home
Dog sitting in my home (licenced)
Pet taxi - picking up and dropping off pets
Cat care and feeding in their own home
Rabbit/guinea pig/hamster minding
Cage and aviary birds looked after
Enquiries regarding other animals are welcomed

Animals are Magic is fully insured through Cliverton/Lloyds, who specialise in animal insurance. I also have an Animal Boarding Establishment Licence from Staffordshire Moorlands Council.

I am able to administer medication such as tablets and injections and any special dietary requirements can be catered for. You will need to provide proof of current vaccination record. I will need a photocopy of this to ensure compliance with the Animal Boarding Establishment Licence.

In addition to the above, when looking after animals in the client's home, I am able to offer further house-sitting services such as drawing curtains, switching lights on and off, putting bins out, post collection and plant watering. If I look after dogs in my own home they can stay in my home with me or in the doghouse, which has been specifically designed and furnished for use as a kennel.

Animals are Magic hours of business are Monday to Friday, 8am - 7pm, Saturday 8am - 6pm, unless prior arrangements have been made
